Saga of Valor & Supreme Sacrifice

Lance Naik Nazir Ahmad Wani was a surrendered militant who joined the Territorial Army and rose to become one of the most decorated counter-insurgency soldiers in Kashmir. On 25 November 2018 in Shopian, he blocked the escape route of six terrorists, entered the house under heavy fire, and killed two terrorists in hand-to-hand combat before being fatally wounded.
